Whilst Corporate Governance means different things to different people, and accordingly is not a term that endears itself to simple definition, one thing that everyone appears to agree on is that good Corporate Governance improves the long term profitability and asset value of a business.
At its core, Corporate Governance is about the implementation and maintenance of organisational structures that provide accountability and control systems within a business.
At Premium we have worked with the Australian Standards for Corporate Governance (AS 8000 - AS 8004) and the Principles of Good Corporate Governance and Best Practice Recommendations published by the ASX Corporate Governance Council to create a set of key management tools which are designed to rapidly assist companies to implement an effective Corporate Governance Program which can be adapted for smaller listed companies, privately owned businesses, government enterprises and not-for-profits.
